Sensory Explorations

Sensory Explorations is perfect for the curious new artist in your home. Join us as we mix, touch, read and create unique masterpieces in a class setting. We will be working with materials that will evoke all five senses. Join us as we learn and identify objects, animals, thing, and more! Children will problem solve and formulate unique masterpieces all while utilizing various mixed mediums.  Learning through play is the best way. All masterpieces are truly one of a kind!

Clay Play

 

16 months to 5 years of age (and beyond ;-)

What’s the importance of play?  Play allows children to be creative while developing their imagination, dexterity, cognitive, and emotional strength.  In Clay play we allow kids to move freely through the room all while a clay activity is set up. All projects will help kids with their fine motor work.  Perfect for your lil mover and shaker

Sculpture 101

This is a great tactile class for kids to learn and grow from! In each class we will create amazing pieces of art using a wide range of material, such as clay, plaster, wire and various recyclable materials to create 3D projects. Kids will learn to problem solve, think about structure, shapes, and forms.

Story Art

Have you ever wanted to make a story come to life?  In this class, we make that wish come true.  After listening to our storyteller, your child will use their imagination to create their own characters, scenery or even a whole new story. This class includes a dazzling variety of art materials and techniques, so bring your imagination and listening ears and join us for an adventure!

Mixed Media

Mixed media is a great class to try a little bit of everything to give students a wide variety of art-making experiences.  Both traditional and non-traditional approaches are taught by using a variety of media that may include: plaster, paint, oil pastel, clay, cardboard, collage, and everyday objects that can be transformed into original works of art. This is a drop-off class.

Animal Art

The Animal Kingdom is the largest and most diverse. In this class, we will learn & CREATE animals of course! Your child will paint, draw, and sculpt a variety of unique animals all while learning about amphibians, reptiles, birds, fish, and mammals....oh, so fun! It's going to be an awesome adventure!

Drawing 101

This is the perfect class for your budding artist. It is developed to  give children the tools to draw accurately while growing their confidence and skills to portray what they see and to share their imagination with the world. We will work on pencil control, storytelling and also simple calligraphy. Your child will look at ways to connect specific shapes and lines into a recognizable figures. Each class begins with a warm up exercise followed by fun and engaging lesson.

Open art Studio

Open art studio time is designed to let your child experiment with materials and ideas. The teachers will have an art project prepared with all materials set out and your child is allow to recreate it or to use their imagination and create something else all while using the same material. During open art we encourage problem solving, curiosity and learning through play.  This is a great art time for your lil scientist or your budding artist.  Join us as we gain hands ons experiences, we explore art  and we invent! Open art. studio time is free for anyone registered for a class session.

Food Art

This class is all about FOOD! Join us as we climb the food pyramid and become color wheel Master Chefs. Children will learn about famous food artists and create some delicious art using a variety of art mediums. Bon appétit! (Please note: all pieces are inedible).

For 7-13 years

Printmaking

This is a wonderful class for your future artist who is interested in investigating alternative art-making techniques that can be repeated. In this class, we will explore making a drawing without a pencil, blending and using a range of colors, and incorporating a bit of science with the art of printmaking. Your child will use everyday objects like Coca-Cola and tin foil to make etchings and balloons and paint to create monotypes, a one-of-a-kind work of art! We will discuss how the goal of printmaking is to duplicate many of the same works of art to spread ideas and messages to a larger audience.

Green Art

Reduce, reuse and recycle your way through art. We love going green and teaching children about how they can do their part. In our green art class, we incorporate LOTS of recyclables! We guarantee by the end of the session your child will have painted, cut, and glued their way through recycled products and created their own masterpiece.

Oil Painting + Drawing

Drawing & Painting go hand in hand. In this class, students will focus half of the class on drawing by exploring perspective, still life and dimension. Students will then spend the second half of the class building their painting skills by gaining confidence in using color theory, blending and layering techniques by using oil paint. Small class sizes allow the lessons to be student driven and customized to your child's interests and artistic goals. Let's CREATE a masterpiece!
