STORY ART

MONDAY, 10:30 am to 11:30am for kids 2 to 5 years of age *No Class 12/22, 12/29, 01/05, 01/19, 02/16*

Have you ever wanted to make a story come to life?  In this class, we make that wish come true.  After listening to our storyteller, your child will use their imagination to create their own characters, scenery or even a whole new story. This class includes a dazzling variety of art materials and techniques, so bring your imagination and listening ears and join us for an adventure! 
Parents and care takers stay with the participants.

MIXED MEDIA

MONDAY, 4:30 pm to 6pm for students 5-9 years of age, No Class 12/22, 12/29*

Join us for a 12 week Monday mixed media class! This class allows students the possibility to try a little bit of everything to give them a wide variety of art-making experiences.  Both traditional and non-traditional approaches are taught by using a variety of media that may include: plaster, paint, oil pastel, clay, cardboard, collage, and everyday objects that can be transformed into original works of art.

MINI MONET

WEDNESDAY, 9:30 am to 10:15 am for kids 16 months to 4 years old (older siblings always welcome) *No Class 12/24, 12/31*

Mini Monet  is all about exploration, play, and discovery, offering little artists the chance to experience the joy of making art through process-based activities.

GREEN ART

WEDNESDAY, 10:30am to 11:30 am for kids 20 months to 5 years old, 12/03 to 02/18 *No Class 12/24, 12/31*

Reduce, reuse and recycle your way through art. We love going green and teaching children about how they can do their part. In our green art class, we incorporate LOTS of recyclables! We guarantee by the end of the session your child will have painted, cut, and glued their way through recycled products and created their own masterpiece.
Open art is included with every class registration.
Parents and care takers stay with the participants.

SCULPTURE 101

Join us for 9 weeks of Tuesday mixed media class! This class allows students the possibility to try a little bit of everything to give them a wide variety of art-making experiences.  Both traditional and non-traditional approaches are taught by using a variety of media that may include: plaster, paint, oil pastel, clay, cardboard, collage, and everyday objects that can be transformed into original works of art. 
This is a drop off class only if your child is ready for drop off.

SCULPTURE 101

WEDNESDAY, 10:30am to 11:30 am for kids 2 to 6 years old ** No class 12/25 and 1/1**

This is a great tactile class for kids to learn and grow from! In each class we will create amazing pieces of art using a wide range of material, such as clay, plaster, wire and various recyclable materials to create 3D projects. Kids will learn to problem solve, think about structure, shapes, and forms.
Parents and care takers stay with the participants under the age of 5.

DRAWING AND PAINTING STUDIO ARTS

Wednesday 4:00 pm to 5:30pm for students 9 to 13 years

In this 10-week session, young artists will dive into the world of drawing and painting while building their artistic skills and confidence. Students will explore a wide range of materials including watercolor, acrylic, and oil paints, as well as pencil, charcoal, and oil pastels. Through guided lessons and creative projects, they’ll learn techniques in shading, composition, color mixing, and brushwork—all while developing their own artistic style.
Each student will build a personal portfolio showcasing their growth and creativity throughout the session. Whether new to art or looking to refine their skills, this class offers a fun and supportive studio environment for all levels.

PORTFOLIO ARTS

THURSDAY, 4:30-6PM for students 9 to 14 years of age, 12/04 to 2/19 *No Class 12/25, 01/01

Unlock your artistic potential in Portfolio a 12-week mixed media art class designed for young creators ages 9 to 14! This fun and dynamic class offers a creative space where kids will explore a variety of art materials and techniques to build their own personal portfolio. Over the course of the session, students will dive into painting, drawing, sculpture, collage, and more—discovering the endless possibilities that come with combining different art forms.
Each week, students will experiment with new tools and materials, learning how to layer, texture, and transform everyday objects into stunning works of art. With guidance from our experienced instructors, kids will gain confidence in their artistic abilities while developing their own style and ideas.
At the end of the 12 weeks, students will leave with a fully developed portfolio showcasing their unique projects, which they’ll take home to share with family and friends!

Does my child have to start a class at the beginning of a session?

Your child can join a class after a session has begun. The class rate will be prorated based on the day of enrollment.

How many weeks is a session?

Each session is 6-8 weeks in duration. 

Can we come in just for Open Art instead of signing up for a class?

Absolutely! You can just drop in for Open Art!

 What is the length of time we can stay for Open Art?

1 hour
 

Does my class registration include entry to Open Art?

Yes! open art is free for anyone registered for a. class session. And you can attend open art in BUCKTOWN OR RAVENSWOOD.  

Is there parking?

There is easy metered street parking along Milwaukee Ave, for our Bucktown location and in Ravenswood street parking.

Are classes drop off?

Drop off is optional for kids over the age of 5. We ask that you let us know if you choose to drop off your child.
 

How many make-up classes are permitted per session?

Each child is allowed 2 make up classes per 8 week session and 1 make up class for all pro-rated class sessions.  Make ups can ONLY be scheduled during the current session.  Make ups classes CAN be rolled over to new session if arranged with Miss Jess or Miss Kerry.

How do I schedule a drop in
or make up class?

Drop ins are listed on our calendar page and makeups are arranged with your current teacher. They will schedule you.
 

What is your cancellation policy for camps and/or special events?

Our cancellation policy is as follows: The registration fee for camp/a special event is forfeited should attendance be cancelled.  Should your child be ill, we require a 24 hour notice by form of email/phone message, at which time we will provide your child a voucher to be used toward an event of equal or less value.  

Do we need to call if we are
missing a class?

To be eligible for a make up class, please give notice BEFORE his/her class begins.  Your notice can be in the form of a note, email, or phone call. 

How should I dress my child?

Dress for mess!  All of our paints are washable & non-toxic, and smocks are always provided.

How do I register my child for a class, special event, or camp?

Registration can be completed online or by calling the studio directly. Please note that payment is taken at time of registration.

Do you sell gift certificates?

We do sell gift certificates, and they are great gifts! Give the gift of art here.

Is Open Art drop-off?

No, you can NOT drop-off your child for Open Art.  We require that you stay at the studio with your child for Open Art.

Can I use multiple coupon codes?

Only one coupon code may be used at one time.
